Notarized translation for legal purposes

Notarized and certified translation for legal purposes

Notarized and certified translations are governed by local laws in each country. Notarized translations often must be an exact translation of the source and must always include a clause from the certifier together with a round seal affixed which only Notarized Court translators may use, and must be certified by the translators signature, in order to be accepted by the courts and the authorities. Certified translations are typically required when submitting official documents in foreign countries. Some common uses of notarized translations include:

  • Birth/death certificates, marriage licenses, divorce decrees, college transcripts, police clearances
  • Affidavits, Amended Tax Returns, Auto Leasing, Bill of Sale
  • Business Contracts, Business Partnerships, Child Custody  Agreements
  • City/County/StateBid Forms, Closing Document,
  • Divorce Agreements, Home Rental, Leasing Documents
  • Mortgages, Name Change, New Business License
  • Paternity Separation Agreements, Power of Attorney
  • Promissory notes, Quitclaim Deed, Title

To be considered a certified translation, you must present the following:

1)     The source document (copy) in the original language.

2)     The translated document in the target language.

3)     An affidavit signed by the translator and/or a representative of MASTER, with his or her signature notarized by a Notary Public, attesting that the translator or MASTER’s representative believes the target language text to be an accurate, complete translation of the original source document text

The type of certification that your document or certificate requires depends on a variety of factors that may include the country where the translation is being submitted, the organization to whom it is being submitted and on other factors.  With our expertise and resources,  we can provide certified translations in nearly every language.

If you are required to submit a certified translation, please check the requirements and the type of certification required before ordering the translation. Also, please let us know if your certified translation must meet any specific requirements.  When you purchase your certified translation from MASTER, you get the additional assurance that the document is now a legal record and will be accepted by courts, colleges and other institutions around the world.
